It’s that time of year when parents are both crying about the first day of school for their Kindergartener and in relief that the summer is finally over. Either way, back-to-school is hectic getting back on a schedule filled with making lunches on the fly, making sure everyone has what they need, and corraling them to school on time. This stress can take its toll on moms and they need a way to stay sane during the madness. These are three ways that I have found to help me during stressful times in my life, like back-to-school traffic. Three Ways to […]
When I was approached by Kidloland (iOS Download, Google Play) to review their nursery rhyme educational app, I was glad to be given the opportunity. Ethan loves singing Wheels on the Bus, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Old MacDonald, so I was excited to see that he could interact with those nursery rhymes in another fashion. Now that Ethan is a toddler, he has become more independent. Which also means he wants to exert control over every decision, including eating. Like most kids, he prefers the empty calories of sweets and bread, but I have found a way to fill in the gaps in his nutrition with Stage 3 Gerber Good Start Grow Toddler Drink.

Then one day we found out she had a brain tumor and turned our world upside down. After 22 months of chemo, radiation, losing function of her right side, speaking but not making sense, and overall heartache, she left us for good. That was 7 years ago and every time Mother’s Day rolls around again, I find myself getting depressed. How am I supposed to celebrate […]
